Apparently, it helps with writer’s block to write about having writer’s block. So, here goes.

I wrote a blog post yesterday and it was terrible. It was supposed to be whimsical and literary, but it ended up just being a really boring story that went nowhere. There was no plot. There was no point. It was just a boring story where the climax was getting my stroller wheel stuck in a hole in the road. The resolution? There was none. Just vomit.
What? Leora, that makes no sense. I know. That’s not even how the entire episode happened. First my stroller wheel got stuck in a hole and somehow I finagled it out. And, honestly, it wasn’t even that big of a deal. I don’t know why I made it such a thing. I was stuck for like ten seconds and then just moved on with my life. And the vomit? Well, we boarded a bus with our baby, it was bound to happen.
But somewhere along the way, inspiration for a literary and whimsical story turned into a stroller stuck in a hole and baby vomit, neither of which are new or particularly exciting things that happened. The inspiration for the story ran away like a stroller wheel that isn’t stuck in a hole would. Would it? I don’t know, that’s kind of the point here.
I spent like 20 minutes on YouTube watching someone take pictures of their entire wardrobe. I crocheted like the wind to try and finish up this blanket I’ve been working on for the past year. Seriously, I need to finish it before the Nine Days or else all momentum is lost.
Wait, what was I talking about again?
So here I am, at nearly 10 pm. Somehow I just thought inspiration for a new post would strike me. It didn’t. Or maybe it did, but with ideas that needed to thaw a bit more to be good blog posts. So instead here I am, talking about how I finally washed my fall after way too many months of wearing it dirty. Don’t judge me!
And if you asked me what the ideas I had were? I am not even sure I could tell you properly. Something about my baby walking and watching the same Toveedo videos again and again. Or maybe it was about how we’ve been going through milk like the 2020 pandemic. Is that too soon to joke about? Maybe.
What was I talking about? Singing a song about sitting on the potty that we haven’t heard in at least a few months? Why were we singing it? I don’t know, it’s catchy.
Anyways, I may not have much to say this week, but I wanted to pop in and make sure I got my blog post out for the week.
Hey, they can’t all be winners.
At least this one isn’t about a stroller getting stuck in a hole. Or maybe it is.
